Lloyd, once a hunter, now a conservationist,
puts his life-long experience into giving you a
true African experience. With 39 years in wildlife
tourism he understands animal behaviour. He has
canoed the length of the Okavango delta alone (1971)
had close encounters with numerous species and adventures
that have become the stuff of legend. His Lloyd's
Camp in Savute where he lived for 19 years was a
place of wonder and excitement, being credited in
a number of books and films. It was here that he
developed his special affinity with lions. One guest

What makes Wilmot Safaris different

your safari to the full. Watching elephants, buffalo
or lechwe crossing the plains and wetlands, seeing
a lion or cheetah kill, or encountering a zebra
migration, we explore the Okavango Delta, Moremi
Reserve, Savuti, Deception Valley, Chiefs Island
or other wildlife paradises. All of these will give
you memories that will last a lifetime. Tracking
lions on foot, following a honey-guide, spying on
a leopard, drinking sundowners under a rising moon,
listening to the sounds of an African night - these
are some of the safari experiences you will long
remember.
On safari you should get to see
at least four of the Big 5 as well as many other
fascinating animals, birds and insects. And the
safari experience is heightened by the personal
attention and extensive information that Lloyd provides.
Sleeping in screened tents in well organised camps
keeps you close to nature but safe.
